Another MITI

This cute little keyring was the second MITI at my Stampin' Up booth during the girl scout scrapbook event. This was SO simple and everyone just loved it. And...it's practical too! You can't see it in the picture, but inside this folded paper is a little tiny post-it notepad. The Crop-A-Dile went through this like butter!

Supplies:
-1 binder ring
-small post-it notepad (I divided 1 pad into 3rds or 4ths. The Crop-A-Dile will not fit through a whole notepad)
-Stamp Set - Sweet Celebrations
-Ink - certainly celery, chocolate chip
-Cardstock - certainly celery, chocolate chip, and very vanilla
-Accessories - Crop-A-Dile, 1 1/4 Circle punch, scallop punch

My Make It Take It (MITI)

We had a successful scrabooking day for the girl scout troop yesterday. Lots of scrappers, lots of vendors (I even got to do some shopping!), and lots of creating going on in that room! I was so happy to be a part of it and I met some amazing people. I thought I would share my MITI. Scrappers that came to my SU table got to make photo holders from chipboard coasters. I'd like to thank my friend Sukhi for the idea!! Everyone loved these and I will be making these at my next class. Keep an eye out for the date. I'll share my other MITI in my next post. So come back to my blog and check it out!!
Non SU Supplies:
chipboard coasters, clothes pin
Stampin Up Supplies:
Embrace Life stamp set
Afternoon Tea (spring mini) Designer Series Paper
Cardstock: groovy guava, wild wasabi, very vanilla and chocolate chip
Ink: wild wasabi, versamark
Accessories: river rock double stitched ribbon, cropadile, vintage eyelets, scallop circle, 5 petal flower and snowflake punches, sticky strip

Easter

Easter is almost here. I made this card for a great friend who always sends me beautiful handmade cards on special occasions. I thought I would share it with all of you, in case you are looking for a last minute Easter sample. I did not come up with this idea and I have honestly tried to find the site that inspired me - but I click around on the Internet so much that I could not find it again! Believe me when I say I really tried!! I had to go completely from memory when making this sample (thanks to my lack of "adding to my favorites" skills)!! So Happy Easter to all of you...and Elizabeth you'll be seeing THIS card in your mailbox soon!!

Stamp Set: Never Ending Joy (greeting), Polka Dots and Paisley (on blue egg)
Cardstock: Barely Banana, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, Pretty In Pink, Mellow Moss, Very Vanilla
Ink: Blue Bayou
Accessories - Pink 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, ticket corner punch, vertical punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, 1" circle punch, 1/4" circle punch, small oval punch, Cuttlebug dry embossing folders, fiskars cutter for the grass

I'm still playing with the Loads of Love truck for a "guy" card. Here's another sample I came up with.

I think I like this one even better than the last. Those water color crayons are just FUN to play with, and they add so much to the image. Aren't those dogs in the back of the truck cute?
stamp sets: loads of love, loads of love accessories, make it count
background paper by Creating Keepsakes
cardstock: chocolate chip, very vanilla
ink: chocolate chip, creamy caramel, basic black
accessories: 3/4" circle punch, 1" circle punch, grosgrain ribbon, hodgepodge hardware, water color crayons, blender pens

Recycle Bought Cards

One of my family members recently received a (gasp!) store bought card. The card was very pretty and I just could not throw it away. Instead, I used pieces of it to create a hand made card. I punched out the glittery flowers from the store bought card with my 1 1/4 square punch. Green galore and gable green colors fit well with the scheme. The orange brads are non-SU, but I thought they also fit well with the colors. I added a little dimension and texture by using the swirls A2 Cuttlebug embossing folder, and stamped the greeting. Viola! A recycled handmade card. Enjoy!

Cards for Guys

One of my own challenges is to make cards for males. Females are easy...I have so many floral stamp sets I can't even count them! But I always find myself hesitating when I go to make a card for a GUY! So I'm posting this sample for any of you out there that may also have this problem. I found this background paper in my "beach" stash. I think it was just in that stash because of the colors. It is not SU paper. It is by Creating Keepsakes. The fish hardware is from Oriental Trading and the rest of the products are from SU. The truck is from Loads of Love. The papers are chocolate chip and very vanilla. The brown grosgrain ribbon is my favorite ribbon to use with the chocolate chip paper. I used the vertical punch as well. So I hope you are able to get some inspiration from this "GUY" card. Enjoy!
Oh yeah, the lucky recipient of this card is my brother-in-law Tim. Happy 40th Birthday Tim!!
