My Digital Studio Released Oct. 1 from Stampin' Up!

You are gonna love it!

My Digital Studio is more than just a digital scrapbooking software. It's your digital solution....period! Not only can you create photo books using pre-designed templates, you can create DVDs with MUSIC, and you can make your own digital pages and print them out yourself. This has everything you need.....if you are a beginner or if you are an experienced digital scrapbook expert.

Order it October 1 from my website!
Check out this page that I threw together in literally 5 minutes. It uses a predefined template so I could just drag and drop my photos into the page, SU background paper, SU punches (the butterflies are 1 punch that has been applied twice, had the colors changed, and resized to give the layered effect), the "sunny days" text is actually a SU STAMP. text has been added and I changed the color and size of the text.....all in 5 minutes. It's that easy! I exported the page to JPG format so I could load it here.

Retirement List is Here...and there are discounts!

As I write this blog entry, it is raining and the temp outside is below 65 degrees. I know this because I just got an email cancelling my kid's swim team practice because of the temperature. Plus, I know this because I have on fuzzy socks!! (My feet are freezing but I really do not want to turn on the heat in JUNE!)

It seems so long ago...only 4 days...that we were hanging out at my sister's pool and basking in the warmth! Oh well! On the bright side, since my car does not have air conditioning, at least I'm not sweltering when I get in the car.

Somewhere along the way, June has snuck upon us. Of course that means a couple of things in the Stampin' Up! world. First, it means we are getting ready to bring out a brand new catalog in July and that also means we have to make room for some exciting new stamp sets. The retirement list is now out. Some are even DISCOUNTED!! So go to the link below and check it out. Then go to my Stampin Up Website and order on-line or send me an email with your MUST HAVE items. But hurry, because as things sell out, they are gone forever.

Love....Digi Style

Last week, my daughter ended up with strep throat, which meant I had another day off work. This was after working from home for 3 days. (the first day was due to a bad traffic tie up on a major commuting road in our area, the other 2 were snow days for the kids). So, my 4th day home I was able to do some digital scrapping, that is, after I took "the girl" to the doctor and to the store for her prescription! I deserved a little me time while she vegged out on the Disney Channel!!

Here's a little project I put together. February is all about love, right? Enjoy!

Snow Day

Do you believe this is the first day this winter that school has been called off due to snow? My kids were so happy this morning when they woke up! Unfortunately, they still got up early, well, early for THEM. They were both bright eyed by 7:30am. Usually I would have until at least 9am before the blessed me with their presence. (smile) At least they were in a good mood.

They even got along pretty well today, which can be rare! It's still snowing, and then it will change to ice sometime over the night. They are convinced school will be closed tomorrow. I guess we'll see...

In the meantime, since I've been able to work from home for 2 days now, I've had some free time in the evening. It's amazing how much time I have when I'm not making that 2 hour commute (1 hour each way). But in this economy I am feeling very lucky to have a job, so I'm not going to complain about that commute too much.

Here's what I did in my free time today. Enjoy!

Digital Scrapbooking - Part 2

I have not given up on this yet! I am still having fun playing with all the things you can do with Digital Scrapbooking!

I created this page from the pictures we took on our annual Christmas tree outing. We have always cut down our own tree. Luckily we are very compatible when it comes to picking out the tree. We found this one in about 10 minutes...tops!

I'm still learning about all the things you can do with the digital elements. I think I have found another new love....this is really a blast!

Digital Scrapbooking

Okay, I have been wanting to dive into digital scrapbooking for a while, but with the busy holiday season I just didn't find the time. Now that the holidays are over, I decided to treat myself to some self taught training! I have already learned some important things about digital scrapbooking. 1) you must have software (Photoshop, Photoshop Elements or even Paint Shop Pro) 2) you must know how to USE that software 3) you must have a lot of patience because self teaching can be frustrating at times 4) you need a lot of disk space on your computer and logs of memory can't hurt either 5) don't be afraid to try new things. The beauty of digital scrapbooking is that it is not permanent! You can start over or erase things easily.

I've been spending my free time looking for tutorials...and they are out there in Internet land. Just do some Google searchs on the element you are trying to learn.

I am excited to say that heard a rumor that Stampin' Up! is also diving into the world of Digital Scrapbooking. Later in the year I hope to be able to announce what it is.....WE don't even know yet!!

Okay, I'm going to be brave and show you my very first digi page. It is very simple, but I had fun doing it. I'm looking forward to getting better at this. Enjoy!
